MARS is a yearly event hosted by Jeff Bezos. MARS brings together innovative minds in Machine learning, Automation, Robotics, and Space to share new ideas across these rapidly advancing domains.

The team was tasked with creating a background loop animation as well as animated introduction speaker cards for the event. Our goal was to create visuals that would cause curiosity and stimulate the viewer. The visuals nonetheless needed to stay subtle and not steal the attention of attendees engaged in conversation.

Below are two different versions of video that were shown during the conference as well as our process from concept to the day of the event.

Echo input is one of the latest addition to the Amazon Echo device family. It adds Alexa to your existing speaker and connects via audio cable or Bluetooth.

Our team was tasked with creating a promotional video that will live on the product detail page of the Amazon website. It needed to be easy to understand but interesting enough to engage the customers. Through the video, we wanted to integrate Alexa's skills in a real-life setting so that it demonstrates the capability of the device.

Now you can order 'Oprah’s Favorite Things' with Alexa and Echo. Hand drawn illustration and dynamic animation work together here to demonstrate the ease of voice shopping.

Prime Day 2018 Mobile Shopping

Client: Amazon

Prime Day is Amazon's large one day summer sales event with thousands of deals. Our team was tasked with creating a video to show how customers can unlock special deals just by trying out some of the camera features on the mobile shopping app. Initially our client imagined this being a 2D explainer video, however we thought it would be more appropriate and visually appealing to build a 3D scene that is in line with the stop-motion brand style Amazon uses for Prime Day. Additionally, we added in some 2D cel animated flourishes, bursts and explosions for some extra energy and a unique take on the established brand look.

Usually in a sales kit, there is only numbers and statistic, but with this one we were able to put in cake, candy and chocolate.  It was not easy to present all the information with simplicity but we were able to pull it off and it was worth it. We also had lot of fun with left over sweets.

This was another special presentation by CTV's Etalk. Katy Perry was promoting her new album "Prism" to Canadian fans. Etalk produced interview and 1 hour special concert of her to be broadcasted during the prime-time. I was able to lead and design the entire show package.

Fashion TV was being refreshed and we were asked to come up with unique concept to enhance identity of channel.  I participated on shooting the film in phantom camera. Show open and elements were created using the footage.

Marilyn Denis show was on air for its 5th season and urges to refresh its graphics was recognized. I was able to be lead designer to revise the logo and re-create the entire show packages. Simple and positive white look needed to be kept but it also needed to comprehend hundreds of different segments they been producing over the 5 years.  Instead of making things complicated, I simplified all graphic elements and added few unique patterns to distinguish different topics show is presenting.

Kevin Newman Live was a 1 hour news show stepping beyond conventional news show. This show was intended to make viewers on every platform a part of the broadcast, discovering context and truth in news story. I was responsible for all the graphic including the logo, show opening, elements, and studio panels.

Etalk was producing a coverage of Oscars 2014 and was in need of new graphic packages. This was a live broadcast that needed to be very efficient but elegant. I was able to lead and create entire graphic package. I concentrated on editing footage of different stars on the red carpet. Gold glow and statues was added later to enhance the depth and elegance of graphic.
